An Evening in Idaho with Junior League of Boise

Back on April 11th, we did an event with Junior League of Boise at the tippy top of the Zions Bank Building in downtown Boise. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of taking in the view from the 17th floor, you already know it’s breathtaking. Here’s a small snapshot of the view.

Junior League of Boise is a group of nearly 400 determined, hard-working women who strive to make their community a better place. As a non-profit serving for over 85 years, some of their past projects include the founding of the Learning Lab, Discovery Center of Idaho and Ronald McDonald House. We’ve had the pleasure of working with them before and were honored to be a part of their 2015 fundraising gala, An Evening in Idaho. Junior League decided to go with our new Mobile Bidding platform for the main bidding style of the gala. We reached out to Larisa Haytmanek, one of the organizers of the event, regarding her experience with Auction Frogs and Mobile Bidding.

How was your experience with Auction Frogs?

TheJunior League of Boise cannot give the Auction Frogs team enough praise for their invaluable knowledge of auctions, how to raise more money, experienced and professional staff, and user-friendly technology. From day one, the communications from Auction Frogs was straight-forward and easy to understand. They made it easy to navigate through setting up the custom website and online auction. Every single team member is responsive and had answers within 24 hours to any question that came up throughout the process. We could not have been more pleased with the team on the day of the auction event as well. Since this was the first time we introduced mobile bidding, some people were skeptical. However, all team members explained the technology to everyone, answered questions, walked around offering help throughout the event and made it fun! The Auction Frogs hands-on approach and service is truly second to none.

How long have you been affiliated with Auction Frogs?

Lead by Junior League sustainer Kristi Saucerman, the Auction Frogs team has helped the Junior League raise money with various auctions for many years. This year they played a key role in the success of the 2nd annual An Evening in Idaho Benefit. The staff was always extremely professional and responsive to our needs. They spent hours helping set up the auction, training our committee leaders, answering questions and giving advice on running a successful event. They were enthusiastic and easy to work with throughout the process. Utilizing cutting edge technology and a staff second to none, Auctions Frogs is an incredible community minded company run by an outstanding leader.

What would you say made this year a success?

This year, the Event Fundraising Chair pushed very hard to make the event an upscale auction. She was able to secure an alluring venue, got the number of attendees up to 160 people from past events, was able to get great sponsorships, and marketed the event as best we could with extremely limited resources. Most importantly, we would never have had the success of raising $30,000 without the Auction Frogs technology and support. I know going forward we can increase that number significantly with earlier marketing and really utilizing all of the Auction Frogs resources.

We had a great time working with Junior League again and look forward to future collaborations. You can get involved, too!Check out their website to donate, find volunteer dates or, if you’re a woman in the Treasure Valley, join the League!
